According to the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department said that, More than 1,600 new cases of the COVID-19 Punjab reported over the last 24 hours, taking the tally of confirmed coronavirus cases in the province to 308,529.
As per to details, 111 more people lost their lives due to widely spread coronavirus during this period, pushing the death toll to 8,683.
The Punjab health department said that a total of 14,173 COVID-19 samples were tested, out of which 1,600 turned out to positive, 37 people died of the coronavirus in Lahore alone, taking the provincial capital’s death toll to 3,558.
The Lahore city reported 727 new infections, followed by Faisalabad that recorded 127 new cases over last 24 hours, Rawalpindi reported 105 cases, Multan 96, Rahim Yar Khan 74, Sargodha 71 and Okara 62.
It must be noted that, As per the National Dashboard of Pakistan, The total tally of coronavirus cases has elevated to 837,523 out of which 86,151 are active cases and 18,310 fatalities were reported till now.
The latest statistics from the national dashboard indicate that 5,490 patients remained in critical condition, while 733,062 patients recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The country has recorded 3,377 new cases during the last 24 hours.
