At least 17 others were injured in the incident that occurred around 5:00 am (0030 GMT) on the Herat-Kandahar highway in Bala Buluk district, Mujib Faizi.
Farah’s police spokesman Mohibullah Mohib said many of the injured had been transferred to Herat hospital, while others were transferred to Farah.
