Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has once again called Nasir Janjua, a man involved in the video scandal case against Accountability Court (AC) Judge Arshad Malik on July 29.
The FIA cybercrime wing has issued a notice which stated that if Nasir Janjua failed to appear before the authority on July 29 then it is free to think that he has nothing to offer in his defense. The cybercrime wing of FIA had called Janjua on July 25, while Nasir Janjua got bail. The Islamabad High Court granted interim bail to Nasir Janjua, a suspect in the Judge Arshad Malik video scandal case.
Earlier, Supreme Court of Pakistan on July 23) has directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit an inquiry report into leaked judge’s video scandal case within a period of three weeks. A three-judge Apex Court bench headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa took up the video scandal case that alleges Arshad Malik of ruling against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif under “external pressure”.
In a press conference on July 6, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz had shown videos of the judge telling Nasir Butt, a member of the PML-N, that he was pressurized into convicting Nawaz. The judge, however, denied the video and claimed that what he said had been taken out of context.
