Pakistan secured the ODI series by b2-0 against Sri Lanka by defeating them in the third and final ODI by five wickets on Wednesday at National Stadium Karachi.
Abdi Ali posted 74 of 67 balls with the help of 10 fours and Fakhar Zaman scored 76 of 91 balls with the help of seven fours and a six. Late in the innings, Haris Sohail showed his class and his 56 on 50 balls paved the way to seal the match.
Pradeep got two while Mumara, de Silva and Jayasuriya got one wicket each.
It is worth mentioning that the first ODI was declared draw due to rain. Earlier, Sri Lankan opener Gunathilaka has posted brilliant knock with 133 that helped Sri Lanka to post a fighting total of 298 runs for Pakistan on Wednesday in the third and final OID at National Stadium Karachi.
The visitors, who had won the toss and opted to bat first, finished with a score of 297-9 in their allotted 50 overs.Sri Lanka lost their first wicket in the 3rd over when Avishka Fernando (4 off 6) was caught by Sarfaraz Ahmed off Mohammad Amir.
Lahiru Thirimanne (36 off 53) was the next to go, getting caught by Mohammad Nawaz on his own ball in the 20th over. Angelo Perera, who put 13 runs on the scoreboard off 25 balls, was caught in the 30th over by Haris Sohail off Usman Shinwari. Muhammad Amir took three wickets cost of 50 runs while Shinwari, Wahab Riaz, Shadab and Muhammad Hafeez took a wicket each.
