An earthquake measuring five point zero on Richter Scale jolted several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday (June 12) morning. According to Meteorological office, the epicenter of earthquake is located twenty kilometers away from Batagram.
The jolts are felt in Abbottabad, Swat, Shangla, Mingora, Battagram, Nowshehra and Peshawar. There were no immediate reports regarding life or property losses.
Earlier, on Feb 2, a moderate 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit different cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab. Earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Sargodha, Lower Dir, Swabi, DI Khan and other cities. As the tremors hit cities, people came out of their houses and offices reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
