An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude jolted Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and northern areas on Monday morning. The tremor was felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, Swat, Chitral, Manshera, Dir Bala, North Waziristan, Kurrum Agency, Mohmand Agency, Batgram, Malakand and adjoin areas.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, epicenter of the quake was in the Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan, 157 kilometers below the surface of earth.
