The Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved the 5-day parole of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz so they may attend the funeral procession of Shehbaz’s mother Begum Shamim Akhtar.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had sought a 2-week parole for Shehbaz and Hamza on Monday.
Last day, The provincial cabinet green-lighted a 5-day parole and forwarded the summary to CM Buzdar for approval.
The parole reportedly starts today (Thursday).
The parole-based release will come into effect once Begum Shamim’s body reaches Pakistan.
