The two-day long fifth Faisalabad Literary Festival (FLF) was held at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan auditorium, from 23-24 Novemeber. Pakistan’s renowned personalities from different walks of life as writers, poets and actors participated in literary festival and shared their life experiences and thoughts with the audience.
Prominent personalities including Anwar Maqsood, Kishwar Nahid, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Farooq Qaisar (Uncle Sargam), Attaullah Esakhelvi, Nasir Abbas Nayyar, Asif Raza Mir, Noor-ul-Hassan and Savera Nadeem were present at the occasion.
Welcoming the literary figures and organizers of the festival, Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Sardar Saifullah Dogar said that literary personalities are precious asset of society who guide people and promote positive thinking through their poetry and writings. He said that Faisalabad is very fertile district in knowledge and literature and it has created many name in literary circles. People were very excited and hoped that students of all the educational institutions must be informed about such festivals beforehand so that they would not miss it.
The basic purpose of festival is to further enrich the cultural values of Faisalabad rooted thru Education and Literature.
