The New Zealand Cricket Board confirmed that the 6 members of the Pakistan cricket team players have tested positive for the COVID-19.
NZCB said in a statement that “The New Zealand Cricket Board was made aware today that 6 members of the Pakistan touring squad, currently in managed isolation in Christchurch, have tested positive for coronavirus,”
The New Zealand Cricket Board said that 2 out of the 6 were cases of reinfection, while the other 4 were marked as “new”. Further added that following the test results the 6 individuals will be moved to the “quarantine arm of the managed isolation facility”
The board said following the test results that “The Pakistan team’s exemption to train while in managed isolation has been put on hold until investigations have been completed,”
