On Friday, an Accountability Court hearing was presided over by Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry on assets beyond means case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz. The PML-N stalwart was not presented before the court due to coronavirus fear.
An Accountability Court extended the judicial remand of Hamza Shehbaz Sharif for three days. The court after extending judicial remand of Hamza Shehbaz Sharif directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials to immediately file reference against him.
According to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the leader of the PML-N is accused of having accumulated assets by unfair means and has been involved in money laundering through his servants.

It is pertinent to mention here that the NAB arrested the leader of the PML-N in the case of assets beyond income on June 11, 2019, after the Lahore High Court (LHC) had rejected his requests for an extension on bail.
On February 25, the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected the request for release on bail of the Pakistani-Nawaz Muslim League (PML-N) leader, Hamza Shehbaz, for assets beyond means case. A bench of two members of the LHC composed of judge Syed Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi and judge Sardar Ahmed Naeem heard the case.
