The inaugural edition of the Afghan Peace Conference titled “Lahore Process” has been started in Bhurban From today (June 22), aiming future course of action for Afghanistan as well as bilateral relations. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will address the inaugural session of the conference.
This conference is considered very important for regional peace and stability as different areas of interest will come under discussion during the conference, including trade, economy, health and bilateral relations. The case of Afghan refugees who are here in Pakistan for the last four decades will also be discussed in detail.
Heads of all Afghan political parties and the political advisor to Afghan President are participate in the conference. In all, fifty seven delegates are expected to attend the moot including Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, senators and members of Afghan parliament.
