National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials on Thursday (Feb 7) presented Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Aleem Khan before an accountability court amid tight security and secured Aleem’s physical remand till February 15.
Punjab Local Government Minister, and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Aleem were taken into custody by NAB on Wednesday (Feb 6) in a case pertaining to assets beyond means and offshore company as he was unable to satisfy NAB regarding his source of income for his properties in Dubai and London. Following the arrest, Aleem has resigned from the post of senior Punjab minister.
The spokesman said that Aleem misused his authority as a lawmaker for his Parkview Housing Society. Aleem also has assets beyond his means in Pakistan and overseas.
