A team of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Sunday raided and confiscated about 130 kg ‘charas’ from the house of former member of Punjab Assembly Fozia Ayub Qureshi. The ANF personnel arrested ex-MPA’s son Tayyab Ayub and two others for possession of the drugs.
According to ANF, the raid was done on the tip-off of a van driver who was apprehended during an operation in Multan on Saturday. The nabbed suspect had confessed to supplying drugs.
Earlier, according to ANF inspector Zubair, a suspicious vehicle was blocked near Basti Malook on Bahawalpur-Multan Road and two alleged culprits Raza Khalid and his accomplice Abdullah residents of Jhang were interrogated who disclosed to the ANF team that they had supplied consignment of ‘charas’ at the residence of former MPA Fauzia Ayub Qureshi in Kausar Colony, Bahawalpur.
