Angelina Jolie’s Drawing of Winston Churchill sold for $11.5 Million

Angelina Jolie is letting go of her ex-husband Brad Pitt’s lavish gifts as she moves on from their divorce.

Page Six announced that the Maleficent actress, 43, sold her Winston Churchill painting for a record-breaking $11.5 million on Monday.

The 1943 painting, titled “Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque,” was purchased by Jolie’s estranged ex-husband for $2.95 million from M.S. Rau, a New Orleans antique dealer, as a gift for her in 2011.

At Christie’s “New British Art Evening Sale” auction in London, Jolie sold the masterpiece to an unknown bidder. According to the Art Newspaper, the person who bought the painting from Jolie also got their hands on two more Churchill items that were included in the auction.
