Apple has surprised its touch fans by announcing an updated version of the iPod Touch featuring an Apple A10 Fusion chip in its first update for the device in years. The new iPod has the same processor as one that’s found in the iPhone 7. The iPod touch comes with a 4-inch screen.
The device doesn’t support Touch ID or Face ID, so you’ll have to use a good old passcode. But it’s worth noting that there’s a headphone jack at the bottom of the device. The Touch comes in 32, 128 and 256 GB options ($199, $299 and $399 respectively) so users can download more AR games and music. The updated Touch also has group FaceTime capabilities that were introduced to iPhone users earlier this year.
The iPod touch forms a perfect device for younger music listeners and game players who don’t have the cash or the parents willing to spend close to four-figures on an iPhone.
