The Warner Bros. and DC superhero, Aquaman is leading the foreign box office chart upon earning $126.4 million in its second weekend of international screening for a worldwide mark of $261.3 million, including an enormous heave of $189.2 million in China.
James Wan’s Aquaman is fast approaching the $300 million mark, even before it first appearance on December 21 in North America. According to The Telegraph, Aquaman has landed the title of being the fourth biggest superhero movie of all time. It falls behind Avengers: Age of Ultron which earned $240million, Venom at $276million and Avengers: Infinity War at an incredible $360million.
Warners decided to open out the movie first overseas in order to get a leap on a packed crowd of end year holiday movies including; Mary Poppins Returns and the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee. In North America, Aquaman is tracking to stoop more than $100 million over the five-day Christmas course.
