Justice Asif Saeed Khosa on Monday (Dec 17) sworn in as acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), as Manzoor Ahmad Malik administered the oath taking ceremony held at the Supreme Court’s Lahore registry. The apex court registrar and officials were present on the occasion.
Asif Saeed Khosa took charge of CJP in the absence of Justice Mian Saqib Nisar who is in Turkey on a foreign trip. Justice Khosa will discharge his responsibilities until Justice Mian Saqib Nisar returns from abroad. CJP Nisar is visiting Turkey on special invitation extended by President Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey.
