Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif through his lawyer Amjad Pervaiz on Monday approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking interim in the assets beyond means and money laundering case.
Amjad Pervaiz moved the bail petition, citing National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal and others as respondents.
Shehbaz Sharif said the office had launched proceedings against him without any evidence, as he regularly declared his assets. He added that the money laundering charges against him are also without foundation.
Opposition Leader of National Assembly, expressed concern that the NAB could arrest him as part of his ongoing investigation and therefore pleaded with the High Court to grant him interim bail.
