An Anti Terrorism Court court Judge Muhammad Asghar Khan in Rawalpindi on Tuesday (Jan 15) during the hearing of Benazir Bhutto murder case expressed anger and sought details of transactions that have been made from two of the frozen accounts of former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf
The report stated that the former president and fugitive in the case Musharraf made transactions, despite the accounts frozen under the court orders. The court also asked for details of the former president’s properties and accounts. The court gave time till February 15 and adjourned the hearing till that date.
On August 31, 2017, an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi announced the verdict in the Benazir Bhutto murder case and announced 17-year imprisonment for two police officials — City Police Officer (CPO) Saud Aziz and Khurram Shahzad. However, the high court had later granted them bail.
