The meeting of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (Fazal ) with the government delegation scheduled yesterday (Oct 20) was canceled. Sources said that the rehbar committee will hold talks with the government from behalf of the allied opposition while the rehbar committee has been called on October 22 in Islamabad.
Sources said that the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman has handed over an authority of talks to the rehbar committee after consultation with the opposition leaders. The JUI-F sources said that Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi had to meet the government committee in a personal committee, the JUI-F sources said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has constituted a seven members committee headed by Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak to prevent a possible Azadi March of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F). Defence Minister, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar, Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood and Noorul Haq Qadri are in the committee.
Earlier, Pervez Khattak said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman must have talks with government because no one will find anything walking into a street with dead-end.
