Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which opened in 2011, has just added a second terminal. BER is supposed to open next year.
Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) celebrated the end of Terminal 2 and almost completed the construction of the unfinished airport.
Construction workers raised a crown to mark the end, 10 months after the start of construction work. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, CEO of the airport, praised this achievement as an “important first step” for the terminal.
The terminal, called T2, is expected to serve 6 million passengers per year. It will increase the total capacity of BER to 28-30 million passengers.
