Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft, added $16 billion to his net wealth this year, despite giving away $35 billion to charity, Reported International media.
Gates’ net worth now is $106 billion, leaving him the second richest person in the world, just behind Amazon’s Jeff Bezos.
Bill Gates told International Television on Tuesday that he is not taking a defensive approach with keeping most of his billions in cash, adding that, “The strategy has been used is to be over 60% in equities.”
Bill Gates charity work is done primarily through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which works in the areas of health, education, climate change and hunger around the world. In the United States, the Foundation ensures that all children graduate from high school.
