Mehwish Hayat has been in spotlight recently due to manly her achievement of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
She is surely the most successful film artist of contemporary day Pakistani Cinema.
Recently, actress has divulge in a recent interview that she was offered the lead role in Bollywood’s ‘Fanney Khan’.
She turned it down and the role was later picked up by none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachan.
Before that she was also offered a role alongside Madhuri Dixit in ‘Dairh Ishqiya’.
Mehwish said that she mainly rejected Dairh Ishqiya because of the requirement of an intimate scene. Also, she asked the filmmakers if it could be changed, but they denied. So Mehwish opted out of it.
Mehwish says that she does not regret turning down Bollywood offers as she wanted to prove her talents in the growing Pakistan Film Industry.
She says that amid the political tensions between the two countries, Pakistani artists are unfairly treated in India.
This was one of the reasons that the actress refrained from working across the border.
