The Supreme Court had finally closed and wrapped up the suo motu case regarding Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Tourism Minister Fida Hussain’s. He alleged show out the misbehaviour with Islamabad airport staff after he issued a written set of apology.
A three-judge bench that was headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar was in the hearing of the case. As according to the hearing, it was proved that the tourism minister show out the alleged misbehaviour with the arrival in-charge at the Islamabad airport after his flight was delayed on November 16.
At the time of court hearing, a video clip was also screen as the evidence. In the hearing chief justice added some harsh statements towards tourism minister behaviour on the airport. He asked whether he is an educated person or not. The minister did admitted that he had pushed the airport staff. On the admit statement, chief Justice said that who allow him to interfere in the affairs of staff when they were on their duty.
As the Islamabad IGP appeared in court, he informed in front of the bench that the airport is not within the jurisdiction and falls under the department of the Punjab police. Chief Minister ordered that Punjab Police should be registering a case against the minister and also conduct an inquiry.
Tourism Minister stated that he pushed the staff officer not with intention. There is a story behind it. Justice Nisar then ordered the GB tourism minister to submit a written apology in front of the court.As following the court order, Hussain submitted a written apology with the statement:
“I regret my actions and will not repeat them in the future. I leave myself at the mercy of the court.”
Court also ordered the minister to apologize the whole staff of the airport. On this statement, tourism minister stated that he has already apologize from the staff.
Now the case is closed!
