A meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) held in Lahore provincial capital of Punjab on which it has decided that cattle markets will be set up outside city limits and will function between 6am and 7pm.
National Command and Operation Centre has also decided to ensure strict implementation of SOPs including social distancing, wearing of face masks and screening of customers.
A special meeting of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) was held in Lahore earlier today.
Asad Umar, Minister for Planning and Development and National Coordinator Lt. General Hamood Uz Zaman Khan presided over the meeting while representatives of Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and other provinces attended the meeting via video-link.
It was also decided During the meeting to increase the number of cattle markets to reduce overcrowding while plan which was followed for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers will also be followed on Eid-ul-Azha.
Syed Ali Abbas Bukhari, Chief Corporation Officer said that the markets would be located 2 to 45 km away from the urban population and will become operational 10 days before the Eid and each market will have a livestock and health department camp. Only 2 persons will be allowed in the market with mandatory masks.
