Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Hanif, who was killed in a bomb blast that targeted his convoy at Taj Road, was laid to rest in Chaman on Sunday.
According to the reports, the funeral prayers of Maulana Muhammad Hanif were offered in Chaman. The prayers were attended by JUI-F central leaders including Maulana Muhammad Wasif, Usman Kakar and others, whereas, a large number of citizens were also present.
Shutter down protests were held in Quetta, Chaman, Noshki, Dalbadin and Harnai against the blast that claimed three lives and injured 11. The call for the protests was given by the JUI-F. Shutter down strike is being observed across Balochistan over Chaman blast on Sunday.
JUI-F leader Maulana Hanif Martyred in Chaman Blast
At least three people, including Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Deputy Secretary General Muhammad Hanif, were martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Chaman on Saturday (Sep 28).
Ten others sustained injuries as a bomb detonated on Taj road with authorities now shifting the injured to a hospital. The JUI-F leader succumbed to his injuries on his way to Quetta for treatment. Chaman District Commissioner Mohammad Bashir confirmed that the opposition party leader was slain in the blast.
