According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Chinese Envoy to Pakistan Nong Rong called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters.
As per ISPR said that, During the meeting matters of mutual interest, recent developments in the Afghan peace process, progress on CPEC, regional security and the current situation of coronavirus were discussed.
The Army’s media wing said that, The COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked the Chinese Ambassador for China’s contribution towards the fight against coronavirus in Pakistan and said that Pakistan Army greatly values its friendly relations with China.
The ISPR further added that the visiting dignitary on the occasion, lauded Pakistan’s sincere efforts for peace and stability in the region, especially the Afghan peace process.
It must be noted that on April 15, The Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had welcomed US President Joe Biden’s announcement of the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan.
