The woman Assistant superintendent of police Suhaee Aziz Talpur from lower Sindh, led the successful security operation against terrorists that had attacked the Chinese consulate in Karachi on Friday morning. She was among the first to reach to the Chinese consulate upon reports of gunshots heard outside the building.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Inspector General Sindh Police lauded her for her courage. “Suhaee Aziz, you have set an example of bravery. These are the women who are ahead of everyone,” he was quoted as saying.
The two police officials were martyred in an exchange of fire outside the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi’s Clifton Block 4 on Friday morning. According to details, three armed attackers tried to enter the Chinese Consulate in Karachi. The police guards posted outside the Chinese consulate stopped them from entering the Consulate. Both police guards successfully repelled the attack and embraced martyrdom. Their sacrifice averted a possible loss of life. No one inside the Consulate gets injured.
According to the international news agency AFP, the banned outfit Baluchistan Liberation army (BLA) has accepted the responsibility of this attack. The BLA is active in Baluchistan and carried attacks against Chinese nationals working on different projects in Baluchistan. This terrorist organisation is working against Pakistani state and national interests. BLA is being supported by India to sabotage the CPEC projects and development work in Baluchistan.
