China on Thursday donates Rs6 million to the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in foiling attack on Chinese Consulate at Karachi on November 23. China’s Consul General in Karachi Wang Yu appreciated the services of the martyred policemen and distributed Rs3 million each among the family of the deceased assistant sub-inspector Ashraf Dawood and constable Amir Khan. Sindh Inspector General Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, Karachi Additional Inspector General Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh and other senior officers were also present in the ceremony, which was held at Central Police Office.
Earlier two policemen, Assistant Sub Inspector Ashraf Dawood and Constable Amir were martyred in an terror attack on Chinese Consulate General in Karachi’s Clifton Block 4. According to details, three armed attackers tried to enter the Chinese Consulate in Karachi. The police guards posted outside the Chinese consulate stopped them from entering the Consulate. Both police guards successfully repelled the attack and embraced martyrdom. Their sacrifice averted a possible loss of life. No one inside the Consulate gets injured.
