On Wednesday, the Punjab Ministry of Health announced that another 78 people had tested positive for COVID-19 in the province as the total number of those diagnosed with the virus currently stands at 2030.
The total tally of coronavirus cases has elevated to 4,072 and 58 fatalities were reported till now.
The latest statistics from the national dashboard indicate that 28 patients remained in critical condition, while 429 patients recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the report, as many as 208 new cases of the COVID-19 were reported across the country during the last 24 hours.
Punjab has the highest number of infections up to 1918 followed by Sindh with 932 patients. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) reported 500 cases, 211 in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), 202 in Balochistan, 83 in Islamabad and 18 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
