Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives said that COVID-19 situation is not improved in Sindh including Karachi.
While giving media briefing, The federal minister Asad Umar said that the implementation on standard operating procedures (SOPs) is examined weekly, adding that Provinces were identified 20 hotspot areas and they took remarkable measures.
The Federal Minister also said that “There are some countries like America where the outbreak increased after decreasing once. If precautions are not taken, the pandemic might surge.
Asad Umar further added that “The number of patients on ventilators has lowered as compared to mid-June and coronavirus cases have reduced due to smart lockdown and precautionary measures.
If strictly implementation over SOPs is ensured, COVID-19 cases will remain under 400,000 by July end.” he said
