After submission of surety bonds worth Rs 10 million, an accountability court in Islamabad on Thursday (Dec 12) issued separate robkars [mandamuses] for the release of former president Asif Ali Zardari in the Park Lane Estate Company and mega money laundering through fake bank accounts cases.
During hearing today, Judge Azam Khan inquired“Are you aware of whom you are giving the guarantee?” To this, the guarantor responded he knew that.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday (Dec 11) has granted bail to former President Asif Ali Zardari on Medical grounds. The former president was asked to submit surety bonds worth Rs 10 million in order to get bail, according to reports. Zardari was under National Accountability Bureau’s custody in a case pertaining to mega money laundering through fake bank accounts case.
Earlier according to medical sources, Asif Ali Zardari’s health is reportedly deteriorating day by day as he is suffering from heart and other diseases. As per reports, Zardari is finding it difficult to speak owing to heart problem as his fast heart rate is also creating problems for him to walk.
