The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa keeping in view the recent alarming surge in coronavirus cases decided to keep all the colleges and universities closed till 23rd of May.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Kamran Khan Bangash said in a statement that all the public and private colleges and universities will remain closed in the province till 23rd of May.
The Provincial Government issued a notification in this regard.
Kamran Khan Bangash further added that in view of the worsening situation of COVID-19 the provincial government has taken the decision on the directives of the federal government.
It must be noted that Dr. Murad Raas, Punjab Education Minister said that all public and private schools in the Punjab will remain closed till May 23, amid 3rd wave of COVID-19.
The Provincial Minister said in his tweet that decision regarding the closure of schools had been made in light of the COVID-19 spread situation.
Dr. Murad Raas further sadi that a review meeting in this regard would be held on May 18.
The Punjab Education Minister appealed the people to follow COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) in letter and spirit to keep themselves and others safe from the coronavirus.
