The government of Punjab, Keeping in view the recent alarming increase in cases of coronavirus, has decided to double staff at the vaccination centres established across the province.
As per to details, The Punjab Health Minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid while talking to journalists said that COVID-19 vaccination staff is being doubled at the centres to combat with the prevailing situation of the deadly pandemic.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the number of COVID-19 vaccination centres was also being increased to facilitate the masses.
The provincial health minister said that approximately 80,000 people are being vaccinated against the coronavirus on daily basis across the province, added that all the institutions are making joint efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid further added that the provincial government will impose more restrictions in the cities where the positivity rate is rising.
It must be noted that, Punjab had reported almost 22 deaths and 2,040 new cases of the widely spread COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, taking the tally of confirmed infections in the province to 306,929.
