The Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to observe the Defence and Martyrs Day as solidarity day With Kashmir on Friday (today) to pay tributes to the martyrs of Kashmir as PM will observe the day in Muzaffarabad.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by PM Imran Khan. “Special Defence Day celebrations should be held in the provincial capitals to show solidarity with Kashmiris,” he expressed. He advised entire Pakistan to reach out to the families of martyrs on Friday.
He will visit the capital of Azad Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, where he will address a function to celebrate the Kashmir Day with people of the region. He also directed all the provincial government to hold ceremonies to express solidarity with Kashmiris.
The 54th Defence Day of Pakistan would be celebrated today all over the country with pledges to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan at all cost.
The day would dawn with prayers in Army Units, Naval Establishments and Air Force Bases for the progress and prosperity of the country. Special prayers would be offered for the eternal peace of the Shuhada, who laid down their lives in defence of the country.
