The moment I blinked by eyelash in the wake of the rays piercing through the window pane, I realized someone had sent a message. I thumbed my impression on my cell phone and found “ Say No to corruption” sent by NAB. At the spur of moment, I managed a smile to respond to the national agenda of fighting against corruption and had a train of thought regarding the cases NAB dealt with.
The very next inch of a second, my memory dragged me towards the GBs of data I mumbled in my attic and tried to initiate something that could be of worth for the national cause. I retrieved one of such cases that could have led towards exposing fraudulent dealings in booking New vehicles in the name of the people who even never steered the wheels of a car. In those marginalized ‘others’, one of my own relative was hedged by FBR for having a vehicle in his name without paying income tax.
He had a tough time in soliciting his case as he never ever booked any vehicle in his name. Since the said, vehicle was Toyota Corolla, model 2012, he even imagined his self being in the car, enjoying his chunks of Sunday vibes with his family. He kept claiming the innocence that he never had a car booked, even then, the solicitor had to be hired for legal protection and litigation.
Furthering the matter, I contacted every department that I took to be investigating the issue like this in Pakistan including NAB, Anti-corruption, FBR and FIA, I found myself in a blind alley and could not get the response I was supposed to be bestowed with. I also tried to investigate whether some vehicle stands in my name or not against my lost CNIC copy I suppose, again the response from Pak-Suzuki was interrogative. They kept asking me whether I had any Booking order no. How could I provide a BOOKING ORDER NO if I never had into such an experience of booking a vehicle and then selling it on profit?
My question for the departments concern is, Why is this “Delay, No to Corruption”?
