A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Wednesday has been underway with Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in chair, Local media reported.
The ECC in a meeting here examines the general economic situation of the country. The ECC session also plans to continue exporting or banning wheat. The Ministry of National Food Security and Research recommended banning the export of wheat.
According to the agenda, the ECC will review the situation of wheat stocks in the country.
The meeting will consider additional grants for various departments and ministries. The main economic body of the government will be informed about the situation of prices and inflationary trends in the country.
The ECC meeting will also consider over a summary of financial assistance for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
According to sources, the session will determine the price per bag of imported urea in the agenda.
In addition, it will review a summary of the gas supply in the villages of Hangu District, according to sources.
