Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s plea seeking removal of her name from Exit Control List (ECL) today (Jan 15).
A two-member bench headed by Justice Tariq Abbasi will hear Maryam’s petition. Earlier, Maryam Nawaz, again moved the Lahore High Court (LHC) to remove her name from the Exit Control List (ECL) after her petition was declared inadmissible.
Earlier, after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore in a letter written to federal government, requested to put Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president name on the Exit Control List (ECL), the incumbent government has decided to include Maryam Nawaz’s name on no-fly list.
According to details, the anti-graft watchdog has maintained that investigations against the PML-N leader are ongoing in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case and her name should be put on the ECL to eliminate the possibility of her going abroad.
It’s worth mentioning here that, in November, Maryam Nawaz had been granted bail by LHC in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case against two surety bonds worth 10 million and submission of her passport.
