Indian occupied forces killed 8 mostly young people in Indian occupied Jammu &Kashmir on Sunday. Indian forces have martyred 22 people in a single week in the valley. A teenage girl also martyred by the Indian forces. Indian forces claimed to kill 10 militants in the shootouts and so-called encounters. Indian forces have killed 528 people mostly young protestors this year in a bid to quell the youth rebellion against occupation.
The Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Societies (a network of civil society organisation, groups and NGOs) have declared it deadliest year since 2009. Since Indian forces launched crackdown and search operations across the valley to stop the daily protests and anti-India rallies against occupation, the death toll has increased. Indian forces using brutal force and repression against stone pelting youth. Thousands of young and teenagers got serious injuries and many lost vital body organs as the result of pellet guns and live ammunition.
Indian forces also involved in the assassination of prominent activists and freedom fighters. The Indian death squads martyred these activists and then put the blame on rival groups for the killing. It is a clear Indian strategy to target the most active activists and organisers of the marches, demonstrations and protests to silent the discontent.
Indian government has developed a conscious policy to pressurise the Kashmiris to accept its hegemony and occupation. Indian occupied forces are using every mean and dirty tactics to force the Kashmiris to surrender. Even UN human rights (UNHCR) chief for the very first time acknowledged the Indian policy of state terrorism. He called for a major investigation into the abuses carried out by Indian forces. He declared this policy as chronic impunity for violations committed by Indian forces.
