Opposition’s Rahber Committee has on Tuesday (Nov 19) announced to open all blocked thoroughfares across the country. Addressing a presser here in Islamabad, the head of the Rahber Committee, Akram Durrani, the decision has been taken to save the masses from the inconvenience. Durrani added that Rahber Committee will follow case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) foreign funding case on regular basis.
Durrani added that Rahber Committee has agreed on pursuing the policy of the pressurizing the government. “Imran Khan’s speech displays his anxiety and stress. Opposition leaders were subject to inhuman jokes after they called of the Azadi March”, Durrani was quoted as saying.
Durrani said that the opposition committee had also decided to call an All Parties Conference (APC). “Maulana Fazlur Rehman will hold talks with leaders of other opposition parties to decide the date of the conference,” he said. He said that a long meeting of the committee had been held in which questions were raised and some answers were given. Durrani said that all opposition parties that comprise the committee reiterated their four demands.
“The prime minister has to resign and new elections need to be held in the country,” he said. He said that the committee would suggest names for the Election Commission of Pakistan. “The Rahbar Committee will protest in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan against the foreign funding case,” he said.
