Recep Tayyip Erdogan, The Turkish President made a telephone call to Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed bilateral relations and recent developments in the region specially USA’s announcement to withdraw army from Afghanistan.
As per to details, Both the leaders during the telephonic conversation, discussed the Afghan peace process and US troop withdrawal from the Afghanistan.
The Premier highlighted the need for a politically negotiated settlement of the Afghan issue, added that Pakistan fully supported intra-Afghan peace dialogue and negotiations.
The Prime Minister Imran Khan told Tayyip Erdogan that Islamabad had played a key role in arranging a deal between the United States and the Taliban earlier this year.
The PM Imran Khan also emphasized that the intra-Afghan talks provided a historic opportunity that must be seized by the Afghan leadership to achieve an inclusive, broad-based and comprehensive political settlement.
President Tayyip Erdogan and PM Imran Khan on the occasion, exchanged felicitations on the advent of the holy month of Ramazan and agreed to further strengthen bilateral ties in diverse fields.
