The online harassment she has been experiencing throughout her career is shedding light on Hollywood star Anne Hathaway.
The Princess Diaries star, 38, revealed during an interview with The Sun that after her big Oscar win for her role in Les Miserables in 2013, she came across an article titled: ‘Why do people hate Anne Hathaway?
She further clarified that the article was full of troll comments that mocked her appearance and called her “unlikeable” and “boring.”
I just don’t want the past to dredge up, but I had my demon out there, I turned on the internet and hated me, and it was like a huge deal. And for me personally, it was a very positive thing,’ she told the portal.
“Because of those things, you can be extremely motivated. So I think what I can mean is when the bad [expletive] happens, don’t stress about it, just go with it, flow with it, she went on to say.
She also spoke about her husband, Adam Shulman, and quarantined him with their sons, Jonathan, four, and Jack, one, over the past year.
“Adam is terrific. If you’re going to get another adult in quarantine, my husband is one of them,’ she stated.
“We were all so overwhelmed in the early days of the lockdown and there was a lot to process and I needed a release, but I didn’t want to scare my kids, so I screamed a lot on a pillow,” she said.
