China has issued warning to the Pakistani and Chinese nationals to stay away from the fake illegal marriage counselors and also assured maximum cooperation with the Pakistani authorities to probe the trafficking of Pakistani girls as Beijing has reportedly taken notice of the recent news stories. FIA has arrested dozens of Chinese and Pakistani’s during crackdown in different parts of the country.
According to police reports, a gang from Faisalabad has been unveiled which is involved in human trafficking. The authorities said that the gang has sent as many as 18 girls to China. FIA report has said that Chinese nationals had rented out a house in Eden Garden, area of the city, for a monthly rent of Rs30,000. They lived here in connection with some development project that had been completed about nine months ago, but they continued to stay back. They were even provided security by local police. FIA arrested the gang from a local ceremony of marriage and believed that more gang members would be arrested in the coming days.
As part of a crackdown against foreigners involved in illegal activities in the country, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday (May 6) arrested eight Chinese nationals from Lahore airport and other areas, for their involvement in trafficking Pakistani girls to China on the false pretext of marriage.
The suspects, with the assistance of Pakistani agents, contracted marriages with unsuspecting local girls and then trafficked them to China where the victims were forced into prostitution. Four Pakistanis identified as Qaiser, Kashif Nawaz, Ismail Yousuf and Zahid Maseeh, has also been arrested for providing assistance in trafficking.
