The Khurshid Cambridge School (KCS), Faisalabad organised an auspicious event to disseminate and endorse the teachings and ideas of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, on his 141st Birth Anniversary.
Throughout the day, several memorial activities were held to talk about the works of the legendary writer and to pay rich tribute to Muffakir-e-Pakistan. The students participated enthusiastically in debates, performed beautiful skits and sang national songs to commemorate the contributions of Hakeem-ul-Ummat, in Pakistan’s independence. A special poetry competition was also organized to create awareness about the literature contributions of Dr. Iqbal.
At the end of the ceremony, Chief Guest, Dr. Muhammad Sohail Director of KCS, while talking about the importance and history of Iqbal Day, said that ,”Nations are born in the hearts of poets and Pakistan is a reality of what great Iqbal dream long ago”. “Though he could not live up to see his dream turning into a reality yet his poetry and philosophy are the best guide for our lives even today”.
He also urged students to play their role in the development of the country. He appreciated the efforts of school management, especially of children, to organize such an memorable event.
Allama Iqbal is our national poet and also regarded as Muffakir-e-Pakistan’ and ‘Hakeem-ul-Ummat’. He was the first man in Sub continent, who gave the idea of separate homeland, which is now, known as Pakistan.
