The Supreme Court’s two-member bench comprising Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mushir, issued a written verdict on a suo motu case of sit-in staged by the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) at Faizabad Interchange in 2017 which was was held against a change in the finality-of-Prophethood oath, termed by the government as a clerical error.
Supreme Court directed federal and provincial governments to monitor all elements “advocating hate, extremism and terrorism and prosecute the perpetrators in accordance with the law”.
