JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman lambasted Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan-led federal government for making a mockery out of economy. He took a jibe at PM Khan and said, “Keep sitting on the chair, this nation doesn’t recognise you as its ruler”. Fazl said that the government was reminding him about following the court’s decision.
“I want to ask you, how many judicial verdicts you respected,” he asked. Fazl said that Pakistan had even upset China. He lashed out at the government for alleging that foreign loans had been used by politicians in money laundering and corruption. “He even abused us and the country in his US jalsa,” said Fazl, referring to the Prime Minister’s address during his first official visit to the US.
While criticizing economic policies of PTI government he said that, “They have utterly failed to pay attention to the economy. Wheat production has gone down by 30 per cent in the past year. Similarly, rice production has declined by 30-40pc. Of the cotton target of 15 million bales set, a mere 8pc was achieved.”
The JUI-F chief said that even though 60-70pc of our exports are cotton, it isn’t even a subject of discussion in the prime minister’s emergency agricultural committee. On the other hand, Fazlur Rehman has assigned important tasks to the top-tier of the party under Plan-B. As per details garnered, Fazl has instructed all JUI-F’s leadership of all four provinces to highlight important thoroughfares across the country under Plan-B.
Sources privy to JUI-F further added that party would call a huddle of all nine opposition parties under Rahber Committee’s banner to take them into confidence regarding Plan-B. It has also been learned that JUI-F will start implementing Plan-B against the government in the upcoming days.
