ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the JUI-F and the president of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), has stated unequivocally that his party will not cooperate with the PTI government on election reforms.
Fazl clarified this during a phone conversation with senior PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi about electoral changes.
The JUI-F leader invited the PML-N leader to include the JUI-F and other PDM alliance parties in discussions with the government about election reforms.
It was determined at a recent meeting of NA Speaker Asad Qaisar with government and opposition lawmakers to form a joint parliamentary committee to study problems related to election reforms.
For this aim, motions will be introduced individually in both houses of Parliament.
