Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the joint session deliberated in detail the implications of Indian act of revocation of special Status of Kashmir. He said members from various political parties were unanimous in their condemnation of illegal Indian act and united in their support for Kashmiri brethren.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the illegal act by the Indian government has been resonating internationally. He said India has always had tried to put the Kashmir issue on the backburner. He said the act of 5th August by India has been frowned upon, even by conscious people in India and have termed this act of grave mistake.
The Foreign Minister said Kashmiris have a long history of struggle against Indian subjugation. Various Kashmir factions have become united in opposing the Indian move. He challenged India to lift the curfew restrictions and see the response of the Kashmiri population on the revocation of Kashmir’s special status.
Foreign Minister said Kashmiris are looking towards Pakistan and the response of their Parliament. He said for the first time use of cluster ammunition has been used by India on innocent Kashmiris as it violates the international norms and Geneva Convention. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said India stealthily moved the resolution of the annexation of Kashmir.
