According to the a report published by Arif Habib Limited, The Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has decline 12% for the month of January when compared with the corresponding month of the year 2020 and remained US$ 193 million.
As per to details, The financial year 2020’s January claimed US$ 220 in FDIs, the first 7 months of Financial Year 2021 could pull only US$ 1,145 million which is about 27% less than the preceding year’s same period.
The report published by Arif Habib Limited, a leading securities company, quotes numbers from State Bank of Pakistan noting that in the past 7 months of financial year 2021, China took the lead by channeling into Pakistan US$ 403 million as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The report noted in the sector wise break up that the same period saw power sector of Pakistan as the most attractive for drawing US$ 476 million in terms of direct investments.
