Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N vice-president, has chastised Ali Amin Gandapur, the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, for contributing funds during the election campaign and has requested his foundation for support.
As part of her party’s election campaign, she spoke during a jalsa in Muzaffarabad. “Where does the money come from?” she wondered. Is this money coming from abroad, or did it come through the sale of Kashmir?” the PML-N leader wondered.
She asserted that the PML-N would defend Azad Kashmir against the “chosen government,” and that Prime Minister Imran Khan had sold Kashmir to India.
“Imran Khan has abandoned Kashmir to India’s mercy, therefore no matter how much of a show he puts on, everyone knows he was part in the trade,” she claimed. “Who gives Imran Khan the right to sell Kashmiris’ blood [to India]?” I wonder.
She stated, “The bat he used to play cricket is now being used to beat the masses.”
She also chastised PTI officials for sending taxpayers’ money to AJK for the election campaign, claiming that “some people are merely come here to bribe people for their votes.”
She claims she does not need to travel to AJK because “Kashmir is in [her] blood.”
“People come here for election campaigns,” she explained, “but Kashmir is in my heart.”
She further told the people of AJK that once in power, the PML-N will ensure that scarcity is eradicated from the district and that people do not have to queue for lengthy periods of time to obtain essential necessities.
She stated, “We will never desert the people of Kashmir.” “Grab them by the neck and don’t let them get away if they try to steal your votes.”
